Sandy Jenkins Obituary, Death – The community of Glouster is mourning the loss of one of its own, Sandy K. Jenkins, who passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was 57 years old. Sandy’s legacy stretches beyond her years, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on those who knew her. Sandy’s memory lives on through her daughter, Katlyn Jenkins, and her grandchildren, Karedan Losey and Sophia Davis.
A Life Filled with Love and Laughter: Born on April 8, 1966, in Athens, Sandy’s life was marked by her love for her family, her community, and her passions. Formerly employed at Ohio University, Sandy was known for her dedication and warmth. Her love for the outdoors led her to find solace in camping along the Muskingum River, where she found peace and tranquility. An unwavering supporter of Trimble and Ohio State, Sandy’s enthusiasm for sports was infectious.
A Cherished Legacy: She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Albright Jenkins, her brothers Mike and Paul Jenkins, her sister Liz Jenkins, and several other relatives. Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Jenkins, her sister Beverly Palmer, and her grandparents. Funeral services will be held at the Bishopville Church of Christ on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, with interment at Glouster Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday at the church.
