The incident occurred on Friday night when Gomez was struck by a pickup truck while in the roadway on Service Road near Esmar Road. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the collision transpired around 7 p.m. The driver of the westbound pickup, who remained unharmed, promptly pulled over and contacted emergency services. Despite swift medical attention, Gomez succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Doctors Medical Center.
