Early Life and Education: A Johnsonsburg Native: Austin was born in Warsaw on May 26, 1994, the son of the late Ira Vetter and Christine (Stoddard) Vogel. Raised in Johnsonsburg, he completed his high school education at Attica, where he received his diploma in 2012. Austin was deeply involved in the community and had a significant impact far beyond the area of his birth. Austin followed his passion for construction and used his skills and dedication to the field to find fulfillment.

Through these outdoor adventures, he was able to create lasting memories and learn to appreciate life’s little pleasures. Austin’s devotion to his family defined him. As a devoted son to his mother, Christine Vogel, and stepfather, Reed Vogel, Austin’s warmth and compassion touched a deep chord.

A Tribute to Austin: An Honoring of His Life: The joy of being Tessa’s, Ellie’s, and Carly’s father, and of being connected to Rachael, was beyond words. Austin took tremendous satisfaction in fulfilling his roles as a husband and parent, and he appreciated the responsibilities that came with them. On March 3, 2024, from 1-3 pm, there will be a memorial service held in the North Java Firehall in honor of Austin, to commemorate his life and the influence he had on everyone in his vicinity.
