João Cabral Obituary, Death – John Cabral, aged 93, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. His legacy of love, family, and music will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. John was the beloved husband of Irene (nee Charamba) and the loving father of Crisalda Freitas (Joe), Rolando Cabral (Mary Pepper), Maria Ernesto (Luis), the late Irene Amaral (2001) (Manuel), Teresa Festa (late Manuel 2022), Manny Cabral, and the late Amelia Cabral (1976).
A Life Filled with Music and Joy: John found joy in simple pleasures, especially music. As a self-employed bricklayer, he brought dedication to his work, but it was his passion for music that truly defined him. Whether he was playing the harmonica, wind instruments, or strumming his guitar, John had a knack for entertaining others. His love for gatherings with family and friends, often accompanied by music and dancing, was infectious.
A Fond Farewell: The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Sun Parlor Home for their exceptional care. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Reid Funeral Home on Sunday, February 25, 2024. His devotion extended to his grandchildren, known as Vavô, and great-grandchildren, Bisavô. The visitation will continue at St. Michael’s Church on Monday, February 26, 2024, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection and entombment at Erie Memorial Gardens.
