Joyce Catlett Obituary, Death – On February 19, 2024, the world bid farewell to a beloved member of the Sevier County community, Joyce “Joy” Catlett, as she entered her heavenly abode. Born on July 4, 1930, Joy took great pride in her lifelong connection to Sevier County, where she made countless cherished memories.

A Reunion in Heaven: Joy’s passing marks a joyous reunion with her mother, Moma Belle Walker, and her son, Teddy Catlett.Joy leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her grandchildren, Shane, Josh, and Ayden, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Additionally, she is survived by her nephew, Rev. John Sims, and nieces, Anna Huskey and Betty Ogle. To countless great-nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, Joy was affectionately known as “Aunt Joy,” a title that speaks volumes about the impact she had on the lives of those around her.

Celebrating a Life Well-Lived: To honor Joy’s remarkable life, the family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the Atchley Funeral Home on Sunday, February 25, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. In their embrace, they find eternal peace and serenity. A funeral service, officiated by Dr. John Sims, will follow promptly at 1:30 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Following the service, Joy will be laid to rest at Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens in Pigeon Forge.
