Thomas Davis Obituary, Death – Tremonton, UT – Thomas Albert Davis, fondly known as Tom, peacefully passed away at home on February 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 10, 1939, in Brigham City, Utah, to Lloyd Nelson Davis and Annie Grace Thompson Davis, Tom’s life was characterized by his unwavering love for his family, his passion for teaching, and his deep connection to nature.

A Life of Adventure and Learning: Growing up in Brigham City, Tom and his friends roamed the foothills and canyons, laying the foundation for lifelong friendships. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1957 before pursuing higher education at Utah State University. At USU, Tom was a member of the swim team and the Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he forged lasting bonds. In 1962, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and later returned to earn a Master of Art degree, fulfilling a lifelong passion.

A Devoted Educator and Mentor: After graduation, Tom dedicated himself to teaching math at Box Elder High School. It was here that he met the love of his life, Pearl Ann Brown, whom he married in 1964. Tom’s teaching career spanned decades, and in 1987, he joined Bear River High School, teaching art and math until his retirement in 2005. He found immense joy in nurturing his art students’ talents and sharing his love for mathematics.

Cherished Family Moments: Tom’s greatest joy was his family. He and Pearl Ann raised eight children, and together they reveled in supporting their children’s endeavors and coaching them in sports. Tom cherished moments spent with his grandchildren, sharing his love for horseback riding and the great outdoors. Tom’s love for nature extended to his passion for horseback riding and ranching. Recognized as a Heritage Breeder by the American Quarter Horse Association, Tom leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love for his craft.

Honoring Tom’s Memory: Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Pearl Ann; children, grandchildren, great-granddaughters, and sister, DeeAnn Ogle. A viewing will be held at Rudd Funeral Home in Tremonton on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Brigham City Cemetery.
