John Casey Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John “Jack” Leland Casey, a beloved member of the Springhill community. Jack, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home. Born and raised in Springhill, Jack was the cherished son of Harold Sr. and Bertha (Campell) Casey.

A Man of Many Passions:  Jack’s life was characterized by his profound love for music, his deep appreciation of nature, and his unique affection for his collection of odds and ends. His melodies filled the air, his footsteps echoed through the woods, and his workshop was a sanctuary of creativity and nostalgia. Jack’s passions illuminated the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on his community.

Fondly Remembered and Deeply Missed: Jack leaves behind his devoted wife, Maragret, his loving sons Kevin (Dawn) and Malcolm, as well as his cherished grandchildren Matthew, Alexandria, Danielle, and Liam. He was predeceased by his brother Harold Jr. “Dick” and sisters Donna and Bonheur “Polly”. Jack’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Celebration of Life: Arrangements for Jack’s memorial have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Home in Springhill, NS. In accordance with Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held in the Spring, offering an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together to honor and celebrate Jack’s remarkable life.
