Her nieces and nephews, Joseph Benny, Stephen Benny, Michael Benny, and Joseph Vaux, were happy to have Grandma around.

After more than 30 years of forming students’ minds at Parma Senior High School, Joan proudly retired to cap off her professional adventure. Joan enjoyed the small things in life, even if she was happy with her career accomplishments. She enjoyed the breadth of experiences, whether traveling to new locales or losing herself in a book. Her passions gave her purpose in life and had an impact on everyone she encountered.
Commitments and Expressions of Sympathy: The family proposes donating to the Archangel Michael Orthodox Church, where Joan was made to feel welcome and encouraged. Joan’s dedication to her faith and the sense of community it gave her are demonstrated by her ability to support the church. On Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10 a.m., Archangel Michael Orthodox Church will host all of the services honoring Joan’s life. Next will be the burial in St. Theodosius Cemetery.
