Tragically, Hope experienced three cardiac arrests en route to the hospital and was placed on life support for two days before succumbing to her injuries.

Investigators disclosed that the incident unfolded at the family’s residence on Smallwood Rd. at approximately 6 p.m. on February 15th. Hope, under the care of her biological parents, suffered unimaginable abuse when her father admitted to submerging her in scalding water after she soiled her pants. Shockingly, the child’s mother was present during the incident and acknowledged being aware of the events as they unfolded.

Three additional children, aged 5 months to 10 years old, were found at the residence and promptly placed in Emergency Protective Custody.
