William Roberts Obituary, Death – On February 20, 2024, William Harrison “Bill” Roberts, who resided in Sherman, Texas, died away in a calm and serene manner. He was 78 years old.
Bill’s life was characterized by love, faithfulness, and devotion to others. On September 11, 1945, he was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to parents named William H. and Dorothy Roberts. He spent his childhood in an environment that was filled with love and community. On July 5, 1968, he wed the woman who would become the love of his life, Shirley Cook. Together, they have celebrated 55 years of marriage, which has been filled with love, laughter, and memories that they will remember forever.
Bill was a man who possessed a wide range of skills and achievements. After receiving his diploma from Sherman High School in 1964, he continued his study at Grayson College and Texas Tech University. He graduated from both academic institutions. Immediately after completing his studies, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served there with great pride. Following the completion of his military duty, Bill committed himself to a lengthy and fruitful profession. He worked at AGP (which was originally known as Anderson Clayton and Kraft Foods) for a period of thirty-five years before beginning a new chapter in his life as a real estate agent for twenty years.
Bill was a loyal spouse, father, and grandpa throughout his whole life in addition to being a proud grandfather. Leaving behind a legacy that is characterized by love, honesty, and strength. Despite the fact that we are saddened by his departure, we take solace in the knowledge that he is now at rest with his parents, William H. and Dorothy Roberts, in the hereafter.
Shirley, Bill’s devoted wife, his children Brad Roberts and Cheryl Mentzel, and his grandkids Hunter Roberts, Cole Mentzel, Sgt. Presley Roberts, United States Marine Corps, and Benhi Le are among those who endure his passing.
On Thursday, February 22, 2024, at two o’clock in the afternoon, memorial ceremonies with the purpose of commemorating Bill’s life will be place at Friendship Cemetery.
