All of his family members, including his wife Mickey, his parents Sanford Perry Brown and Rozina Cavett Brown, his siblings Sandy, Bruce, and Jimmye (Kayo), his granddaughter Kristi, and his brother-in-law Bill Marslender, had already died away prior to his passing. He was the only member of his direct family to have survived beyond his death.
There are a number of people who are able to carry on his legacy, including his sister Rosellen, his children Kevyn Kerr, Gregory Brown (Kaletah), and Larry Simmons (Carla), as well as his beloved friend Carol Portugal.
