Nettie was born on September 3, 1937, in Griffin, Georgia, where she spent her childhood surrounded by the love of her parents, Brown and Cornelia Kendrick. From a young age, Nettie’s strong faith was evident to all who knew her. She was a longtime member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, where she found solace, community, and purpose.
A Loving Family Woman
Nettie’s devotion to her family was unmatched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Beasley, and her sisters, Marie Gregory, Shirley Neill, Ann Pendley, and Thelma Williams. However, her memory lives on through her surviving children: son Frankie Durham, daughter Sherry Durham, and son Tim Durham (Melissa). Nettie was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one a testament to her enduring love and care.

Visitation for Nettie Yvonne Beasley will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 1:30 to 2:00 pm at Rehoboth Baptist Church, followed by a graveside service in the church cemetery. Reverend Mike Freeman, a close friend and confidant, will officiate the ceremony, offering words of comfort and reflection as friends and family gather to pay their final respects.
