Mildred Rhea Obituary, School teacher At Clinchfield Baptist Church Has Passed Away
Mildred Rhea Obituary, Death – Dear Mildred On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Beatrice Breeding Rhea went to be with her beloved husband in paradise. A witness to her long life and readiness to meet her Lord and Love, she said, “I’ve lived a good long life.”
Mildred spent more than half a century as a clerk and youth Sunday school teacher at Clinchfield Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. Mildred worked as the office manager at General Electric’s Carboloy Division while she lived in Chicago. She maintained a petrol station and many eateries after settling in Virginia. She then found employment in the courthouse in Russell County. After finishing her degree at Wise’s Clinch Valley College, she spent 31 years as a teacher in the Russell County School System, primarily at Clinch River School. She enjoyed reading, crocheting presents for loved ones, and was a serious bell collector.
Earl and Mattie Bell Breeding welcomed their daughter Mildred Rhea into the world on April 25, 1929. Several relatives, including her 61-year-old husband John D. Rhea, her brothers Lester (Trula), Earnest (Faye), Carlos (Bonnie), and Earl (Ann) Breeding, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, and a special niece, Sharon Thomas, before her in death.
Michael Adam (C’je) Rhea, Sherry (Edward) Purcell, great-grandsons Holston Rhea, Bryan Snead, and Lewis Snead, as well as Michael and Kathy Rhea, who are her son and daughter-in-law, are among Mildred’s surviving relatives. Numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws are also still alive. On Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Combs-Hess Funeral ceremony will hold funeral services for Mildred B. Rhea. Officiating the ceremony will be Rev. Larry Burton and Rev. Danny Rhea.
in 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2024, the funeral will take place in Ketron Memorial Garden Mausoleum. Gather at the Combs-Hess Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. if you would want to be a part of the procession. Mildred Rhea’s family will be hosting a visitation on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Roger Lynthlin, Jared Rasnake, Leslie Rhea, Bryan Snead, Lewis Snead, and Brett Keene will serve as pallbearers. Harold Rasnake and the Cleveland Rescue Squad will serve as honorary pallbearers.
