Bryan Lewis Obituary, Death – Captain Bryan “B-Ba” Keith Lewis, aged 43, of Hebron, departed this world on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore. His untimely passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him. Bryan was the beloved son of Jo-Ann (McKenney) Lewis of Nanticoke and the late Darryl Lewis. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Shelby N. Lewis, and a community deeply touched by his selflessness and dedication.
A Life of Service and Commitment: B-Ba’s journey was marked by unwavering dedication to serving others. A graduate of the James M. Bennett class of 1998, he furthered his education by obtaining paramedic certification from Chesapeake College. For 18 years, Bryan served with distinction in the Salisbury Fire Department, where he held various roles, including Firefighter/Paramedic and Maintenance & Supply, earning him a posthumous promotion to the rank of Captain. His commitment to his craft and community extended beyond the fire department, as he also volunteered at the Westside Fire Department and served as a 911 Dispatcher for Wicomico County Emergency Services.
A Man of Many Passions: Beyond his exemplary service, Bryan was known for his love of carpentry, honed through years of learning alongside his father. Bryan was not only a skilled professional but also an avid hunter and nature enthusiast, finding solace and joy in the great outdoors. Yet, his greatest passion lay in spending cherished moments with his friends and family, embodying the essence of true camaraderie and reliability.
Honoring His Legacy: In memory of Bryan’s remarkable life, a funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, followed by burial at Bivalve Cemetery on Wednesday, February 21. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the National Marrow Donor Program or The Hackerman Patz Patient and Family Pavilion are encouraged, reflecting Bryan’s enduring legacy of compassion and support for those in need. His craftsmanship and dedication were evident in every project he undertook.
