A visitation in Lyston’s honor will take place at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS, on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Following at 5:00 PM will be a moving funeral service led by Bro. Noah Clark. A Life Well Spent:
Lyston’s enthusiasm for life was demonstrated by his love of the great outdoors, particularly by his enthusiasm for ATV riding, fishing, and hunting. An authentic adversary, he relished the game of Rook and cultivated amicable rivalry with others in his vicinity. Lyston’s competitive nature also showed on the sports field, as he was a member of the powerlifting squad and played football for the Stringer Red Devils, wearing the number 78.

Beyond being a gifted athlete and an enthusiastic outdoorsman, Lyston was a much-liked person who will be sorely missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Friends, family, and the community will all cherish his kindness, humor, and the great spirit he brought to every venture.
