His memorable role as an all-star running back for the Pirates left a lasting mark on the community and his peers.

Love and Family: In 1959, fate intervened, and Larry met Mary Elizabeth Callaway, the love of his life, during his high school days. Their love story spanned over six decades, a testament to their unwavering commitment and devotion. Together, they raised a loving family, cherishing every moment of their journey. Larry’s children, Stephanie Lynn Alley and Larry Brenan Hampton, were the pride and joy of his life. Final Farewell: Services to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at Orrick Christian Church in Orrick, MO, on Monday, February 19, 2024. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the service following thereafter. Upon retiring in 2002, Larry embraced the pleasures of lake life, pursued his passion for hunting, traveled extensively with Mary, and found solace in his workshop. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will endure for generations.
