An Illustrious Seventh Grader
At Cimarron Public School, seventh-grader Ariel was a lively and involved part of her community. She played basketball with enthusiasm, displaying her skill on the court. Ariel’s participation in the school band, where she played the trumpet with fervour, demonstrated her musical potential. She looked forward to the track and softball seasons with great anticipation, ready to take on new challenges and create priceless memories with her friends.

A talented artist and ardent family man
With each brushstroke, Ariel’s extraordinary artistic ability allowed her to capture the beauty of the world around her. Her creative ability was evidence of her originality and insight. However, Ariel’s family was the object of her deepest affection. She was very fond of her grandparents, Nana Rosetta Cottom and Abuelo Florantina Trejo, as well as her parents, Rolando and Lisa Kay Trejo, brother Marcos, sister-in-law Gabby, niece Eri, and sister Karly. Kova, her animal companion, basked in the warmth of Ariel’s affection.

Treasured and Recall
Her parents, siblings, Uncle Gary Cottom, Aunt Lori Stevenson, Uncle James, cousins, and several other family members who cherished Ariel will always cherish her memory. Bob Paulson, Irl Wayne Cottom, Kay Cottom, and Tracy Cottom all passed away before her.
