Throughout an astonishing half-century, Sandie has produced exceptionally valuable contributions at the regional, area, and national levels. She went away peacefully on Monday, February 12, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing occurred on Feb. 12.

Sandie, a pioneer of the American Youth Soccer Organization AYSO and a dedicated volunteer, was the steadfast face of the organization. She served as the team’s ambassador on the field from the opening kickoff until the final whistle for those who participated in 6U or 8U soccer at Alta Loma Junior High School in Rancho Cucamonga. The unwavering commitment that she showed had a significant impact on a great number of young athletes. Sandie’s dedication to the AYSO community was demonstrated by the fact that she served as the Area G Director for an astounding 34 years.
Being a member of the AYSO Management Council on a national scale Sandy was a member of the AYSO National Management Council, which allowed her to exert her influence on a national basis for the organization. Her commitment to quality was made clear in the position handbooks and training materials that she assisted in developing. These materials continue to be used as a guide for AYSO volunteers despite the passage of time.

In addition to being a member of the Alta Loma School District School Board for more than four decades, Sandie was also a member of the Alta Loma Youth Service Organization (AYSO), during which time she left an indelible mark. In addition to her caring approach to teaching, her unwavering dedication to quality, and her innovative leadership, she made a significant contribution to the District’s position as a leading educational institution.

The family of Sandie kindly requests that guests wear AYSO board shirts or any other form of soccer apparel in commemoration of her AYSO legacy.
