Sonny Crotti Obituary, Death – The diagnosis of brain cancer in July of my younger brother Sonny rocked our world. The day before Sonny was scheduled to depart for football camp, we had an unexpected MRI, a doctor’s visit, and the diagnosis of a tumor as a result of what began as migraines and light sensitivity.

The Battle of Brain Cancer:

Sonny was admitted to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia that same day for more testing and imaging, and five days later, a craniotomy was performed to remove the lump. Following his operation, Sonny showed incredible fortitude and utilized the final few weeks of summer by playing golf. Sonny is an inspiration to everyone he comes in contact with, exuding appreciation, faith, and love.
An Amazing Trip:

Sonny handled the difficulties of radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery with amazing grace and humility. He never shied away from his role as our sister Posie’s big brother, never missed an opportunity to cheer on his teammates from the sidelines at almost every game, and cheerfully celebrated his sixteenth birthday while undergoing treatment.

The Power of a Family Unit:

While Sonny continues his therapy, we are requesting support from our communities and looking forward to his return to school. In honor of the departed, a GoFundMe has been established to lessen the burden of funeral and medical costs so that we may concentrate on giving Sonny the care he needs.
