Because of his commitment, he turned his father’s garage into a private training haven. His early passion served as fuel for his perseverance and established the groundwork for an incredible career.     Guy Del Corso founded “Guy’s Gym,” his first gym, in his early twenties. It was first housed in a Paterson shop before moving to Hawthorne. Many people found inspiration and support in his gyms as they embarked on fitness journeys. The fitness community says goodbye to a real icon. The lives that Guy Del Corso mentored and encouraged have been changed, and that is how his legacy endures.

    After winning the title of Mr. New Jersey in 1988, Del Corso competed in bodybuilding contests far into his 50s before retiring in 2009. His perseverance and commitment to the sport made a lasting impression that continues to motivate aspiring bodybuilders today.

    Del Corso went from being an athlete to a coach in 2015 after receiving a cancer diagnosis and suffering a heart attack. His health struggles served as the impetus for his mission to empower people to reach their physical objectives by creating individualized diet and exercise regimens.
