Ethan Hill Obituary, Death – The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office has made strides in identifying the victim of a tragic overnight shooting in Elba. Sheriff Scott Byrd, in a statement to News4, confirmed the identity of the victim as 24-year-old Ethan Christopher Hill of Elba. The incident unfolded in the 1400 block of Jones Street, marking a devastating turn of events for the local community.

Details of the Incident: Upon responding to the scene, first responders encountered Hill with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Hill succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 11:05 p.m. The sudden loss has sent shockwaves through the area, prompting swift action from law enforcement to bring those responsible to justice. In a commendable display of investigative efficiency, the authorities managed to apprehend three suspects linked to the shooting. The City of Elba officially confirmed their capture at 12:57 p.m. on Thursday. Among the detained individuals, two have been identified as 31-year-old Freddie Junior Mcgee Jr. of Enterprise and 52-year-old Alena Michelle McGhee of Elba.

Juvenile Involvement: Sheriff Byrd disclosed that the third suspect is a 17-year-old juvenile. Due to legal constraints surrounding juvenile cases, further information regarding their identity and involvement in the incident cannot be disclosed at this time.  Both have been charged with murder in connection to Hill’s tragic death.

Seeking Closure: Coffee County Coroner Arnold Woodham has taken necessary steps to ensure a thorough investigation into Hill’s death. Hill’s body has been sent to the Montgomery Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy, a crucial step in piecing together the events leading to his untimely demise.
