Tina’s life was tragically altered in 1998, when her only daughter, Teresa McCrary, tragically died in a car accident. This occurred after Tina had graduated from North County Technical High School from the school. Despite the immense suffering she was experiencing and the challenges she faced, Tina persisted against all odds for more than thirty days while she was on life support, and she became a symbol of hope as a result of her heroic efforts.
The monument that she created with her infectious grin and her enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures stood as a testament to her unwavering spirit and her gratitude for the second chance she was given in life. The eleventh of February was the day that God called Tina home to be with her daughter and her family. Tina has always found that her volunteer job at the local animal shelter, where she spends her leisure time offering love and care for the animals, has provided her with a sense of contentment and happiness.
Tina’s mother, Yvonne G. James, her father, Paul C. James Sr., her sister, Teresa McCrary, her brother, Paul C. James Jr., her sister, Pam J. Ellege, her grandparents, William and Myrtle Chapman, and Hunny and Joseph Korte, as well as a huge number of aunts and uncles, all passed away before her. She is remembered by her sister Tracy L. Francis (Dan Francis), her brother-in-law Dan Francis, her fiancé Jerry Davis, her stepmother Ellen James, her nieces Kayla and Kelsey Ellege, her nephews Kevin Fischer (Julia Wilson) and Kyle Fischer,
her great-nephew Austin and Hayden Fischer, her uncle Foyd Chapman (Helma), her aunts Phyliss Barlow and Sandy Chapman, and a large number of cousins and friends. She leaves behind a legacy that is filled with love and warmth. We have gathered here to commemorate Tina James, who was a fighter, an animal lover, a loving family member, and a friend to many. Let us celebrate the incredible woman that she was by remembering her. We pray that her legacy of kindness and resiliency will serve as a source of inspiration for all of us and that those who loved her will find comfort in her memory.
