Sharon McDonnell Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that the Whiterock Westrock Historical & Cultural Society acknowledges the passing of Sharon McDonnell. Her departure leaves a profound void in our community, as we mourn the loss of a cherished friend and neighbor. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and her influence will continue to resonate through the generations.

A Pillar of Strength and Kindness: Sharon will forever be remembered for her unwavering kindness and compassion. Her presence illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. In the Whiterock/Westrock areas, Sharon was not just a resident; she was an integral part of the fabric of our community. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on our collective memory. Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. As the beloved wife of Leonard, she shared a bond of deep affection and mutual respect.

Farewell, Dear Friend: Sharon departed this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on the 12th of February 2024. Her presence will be sorely missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us. As we gather to bid her farewell, our thoughts and prayers are with the McDonnell/McCaul families during this time of profound sorrow. Sharon’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, embracing all who crossed her path.

Celebrating a Life Well Lived:  Sharon’s remains will be received at her late home at 17 Westrock Grove on Saturday afternoon. A Requiem Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church on Tuesday at 3:00 PM, preceded by a departure from her late home at 2:15 PM. Following the mass, a service will take place at Roselawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to Marie Curie in Sharon’s memory are appreciated. Sharon McDonnell’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories we hold dear. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched. St. Pio, pray for her.
